The peoplebehind Cirql

Two friends from different corners of the business world, still hooked on building things.

Titian’s Sisyphus, pushing a boulder up a hill, 1548–49.

Where we come from

Between us: industrial equipment, manufacturing, technology, software, and building businesses. We have spent years

  • selling things,
  • making things,
  • fixing things,
  • and making them work better.

Somewhere along the way, we realized something.

We really love the game

  • Starting with nothing.
  • Finding the opportunity everyone else overlooked.
  • Building something useful.
  • Landing the first customer.
  • Solving the problems nobody saw coming.
  • Waking up the next morning to do it again.

One must imagine Sisyphus happy

Camus wrote that about a man condemned to push a boulder up a hill forever: the struggle itself can be enough to make the climb worth it. We believe that. We also believe in progress.

The boulder doesn’t have to roll all the way back down.

Every business we build, every problem we solve and every lesson we learn should move it a little further up the mountain.

No finish line

We’re not chasing some imaginary finish line where everything is done and there’s nothing left to do.

  • We like building.
  • We like competing.
  • We like figuring things out.

Cirql is where we get to keep doing that, and hopefully build a few things worth keeping along the way.
